A Taste of Summer

Ahhhhh I can feel it there are only a few days left of school and then the kids and I are free to have fun and sleep in and do all those fun summer activities. May is also National Scrapbooking Month and Close To My Heart has a great deal going on for this gorgeous paper pack for only $8.95. I have to be honest with you at first I really didn’t think that I was going to like this paper and its bright colors.

I finally got a chance to play with it and created this cute layout template in Design Space. You all know how much I love my Cricut Explore and I have been using it a ton lately. Any who here is the layout that I thought up in Design Space and I wasn’t sure how it was going to end up looking in real life after designed it.

A taste of Summer Cut File

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the actual layout looked once I was all done. I don’t usually do well with paper piecing either but I really enjoyed putting together the little bowl of strawberries down at the bottom of the page. The photo mats are cut at 3.5×3.5 so that you can mount a 3×3 size photo on them and the blank space below the title is a great spot for journaling.

Cute layout, pretty papers. I SO need to use the papers I already own before I buy more. I have a moratorium in place, no purchases until I get the current things orderly and in use!

Thank you Libby. I have already used the whole pack between that layout and the mini album I created! I think if you are going to use it then you should be able to buy it!
