You don't always need a ton of product to create something magical in your travelers notebooks and you don't have to be an amazing artist either. Sometimes all you need is a few ink pads, some paint pens and a stencil to create something that makes your heart happy.
That's what these notebooks are for, right, to make our hearts happy? To be creative and create something that makes us smile when we look at it. I don't know about you but every single one of my notebooks just make me so happy and I have so many different ones, but that's for another blog post.
I wanted to share with you all the amazing collaboration that I am part of for the next few weeks using the amazing Stencil Girl products. If you have never heard of Stencil Girl products you should definitely check them out by clicking here.
The amazing Tina Walker, has created this collaboration and there are tons of artists participating and we are using the hashtag #thestencilfiedjournal on all the social media outlets so you can easily find us.
The first prompt was to stencil and use circles so I had a bit of a different take on this prompt and I absolutely love the way it turned out. I am also working in a pocket sized notebook and you can grab one just like it by clicking here.
I used two Tim Holtz distress oxide inks and my Posca paint pens which I love and a beautiful stencil from Stencil Girl Products to create this beautiful page. I have a thing for strong women in art so this stencil spoke to me the moment I saw it in the shop. I am sure I will use it again during this collaboration.
Here is the video so that you can see how easy this creation wasI hope that this simple spread has inspired you to get creative and take some time to make your heart and mind happy.
