Bulletin Board Ready!

I can’t believe how fast the Summer has gone by. In a few weeks I will be back to school and I will be decorating my classroom just the way I want it. I recently took a training and I got this great idea from the training to have stars ready for my students to write their names on, that could then be displayed up on the bulletin board. You know me I had to get right to my Cricut and see what I could come up with.

I found this great star attached to a student label but Design Space wanted a $1.99 for that file so I inserted the image into Design Space and then created my own image from free images. I am quit happy with the outcome and can’t wait to get it up on my bulletin board. The next thing I did was search for star shapes. I inserted a few star shapes to cut because I thought it would be nice to have some slightly different shapes.

The plan is to cut out a bunch of these stars to have handy for my students and when a student does an awesome job I am going to have them write their name on the star and why they received the star and then allow them to put it up on the bulletin board. Their star will stay on the bulletin board for the month and then we will start all over.

I teach middle school but they are still children and they like being recognized just like everyone else does. I think that this will end up being a great motivator for my students. My first batch of stars will be cut using some of the brand new Zoe paper but I am also using paper that is going to be retired at the end of the month. You are not going to want to miss out on these papers and they are all only available while supplies last!

You can grab the cut file here for your own bulletin board and you can grab the paper packs here in my shop!
