Catching Up on Project Life

Ahhhhhh, May is already here and needless to say I am behind on my Project Life for this year but I am OK with that. This is my first year on the Project Life train and I must say that I really enjoy getting my photos in an album and not having to create 12×12 layouts for each set of photos.

Pocket scrapping has made my memory keeping process a whole lot easier. I still create my 12×12 layouts and I did quite a few for the month of January for my daughter’s birthday but February and March do not have any 12×12 layouts at all and again I am OK with that.

My goal is to get my photos into an album and the stories documented that is the whole reason why we scrapbook, right?

My process for pocket scrapping is monthly as I see many Project lifers creating weekly layouts and that just drives me batty. The idea of trying to figure out what week I am scrapping when I am lucky to get the photos into the album during the same month, just seems like way to much work for me.

With that being said I have managed to complete January, February and March are in the album but are not stuck down and do not have any embellishments. April is printed and will have some 12×12 layouts because it was the baby’s first Easter.

With that being said I wanted to share with you some of my pocket scrapped pages from January. I am all about keeping it simple just like I am with my layouts.

Are you pocket srapping this year?

Loved looking at your albums. Thanks for sharing. You say you keep it simple and it looks beautiful.

Thank you Roz, I sometimes wonder if I keep it to simple but then I remember the goal is to get the photos into the album!

I think you’ve made great progress so. (with a new baby too) I haven’t done “project life” yet, although it intrigues me. I too, want to get those pictures in albums.

    Good Luck

Thank you Sue I really thought I was going to have more time to scrap being home with the baby but that is definitely not the case.

I should try this sometimes. I am thinking to start one when I will have a baby

Claudia, there is no reason to wait until you have a baby! You have a story to tell now that I am sure your baby will love to see one day 🙂

  4. That’s a great idea to record your life weekly. I wish I could do something like that. I’ve got 1000’s of pictures from years ago that are still sitting in a box.

Isabela, whats stopping you from throwing your photos in an album and telling your story? I don’t scrap weekly as I would drive myself crazy. I approach it from a monthly point of view which is working out for me.

Good for you trying to play catch up. Being behind for a little bit is okay. It’s probably fun seeing all those fun photos you took a while ago. 🙂

It is fun looking at old photos but these photos are not that old as I am pretty close to be all caught up with my 2014 scrapping 🙂

Hi Ellie I have some digital scrapbooking that I am hoping to catch up on this weekend as I am doing the baby’s album digitally.
