Cricut and Mother’s Day

Ahhhhh my Cricut how I love thee! Ahhhhh how I see all these 3D things from SVGcuts that I just have to make but then when I go to make them the trouble I have. Not this time though! I made these beautiful roses in a gorgeous flower pail using the Hopscotch paper and some cardstock from DCWV!

I can’t even begin to tell you happy with the results I am and my mom saw them and fell in love so I know exactly what I will be making her for Mother’s Day. I grabbed the Mom’s Garden Gifts SVG file from SVGcuts and thought that the flowers and the pail would be a perfect Spring decoration.

I think that I will also make the flower-pot and the box for Mother’s Day this year. The box I plan on filling with a few crochet cloths as my mom loves my crocheted cloths that she can use either for cleaning or showering.

Let’s get back to the flower pail and roses. The flower pail really only took me a few minutes to put together and was super easy. I tried putting it together with Scor-Tape this time and it went together a lot faster than when I use the Scotch Dry Adhesive glue. I had some old brads in my stash that I used for the handles and I used the Hopscotch paper which is still available at Close To My Heart but only for a limited time.

Next I worked on the roses. I made the first rose with white daisy cardstock and sprayed it with some color shine. I loved the effect of this but I hated that I had color shine all over my hands.

I found this great cardstock pad at Joanns and it was on sale for $9 by DCWV so I grabbed it and thought it would be perfect for the remainder of my roses. I cut some roses with a very light pink colored paper and some with a very light peach colored paper. The leafs I cut with a dark green cardstock from Bazzil that I had picked up when I was working on some St. Paddy’s day crafts.

I truly love how they turned out and can’t wait to make one for my for Mother’s Day. You can grab this great cut file from SVGcuts by clicking HERE.
