December Daily Day 2

I was so utterly tired last night after a long day of teaching and then picking up the kids only to bring them to the store and for a little play time at Burger King. All I can say is that by the time we got home last night we were all tired.

Originally I was going to tell the story of how we put our lights up before December on the house but after the day we had I really just wanted to share what our day was like. I had taken a few photos and after I thought about it, the photos really depicted how we are adding the Christmas spirit to our every day life.

We had breakfast with the baby in his Christmas pajamas because this year I felt that he should wear them all month long and not just on Christmas. We all thought how funny he looked with a bunch of cream cheese on his face so the photo was snapped. Then the mini me and I listened to Christmas music on the way to school and sung our little hearts out. Everybody went to where they were supposed to go for the day and I had promised mini me that we would see if we could find a mini Christmas tree in the Target dollar spot for her American Girls. We didn’t have any luck with that and we were a little disappointed so we went to Burger King for food and for some playtime at the indoor playground. There aren’t many playgrounds around anymore and this was actually the baby’s first time in one. He had a blast but before I knew it he was beyond tired.

That wrapped up our day and when my honey got home, he woke up. I then proceeded to get up, print my photos and tell the story. I needed a 4×6 journal card so I cut some Christmas paper that I had in my stash along with a piece of scrap white cardstock that I added some Evergreen Bough distress ink to. I added some tiny word stickers to my 3×4 photos and outlined them with my Faber Castell Pitt Pen and White Uni-Ball Signo pen. I added my chipboard number and called this layout done. It literally took me about 10 minutes and I went back to bed! I felt so happy that my story was told even though it was so simple. Sometimes simple is best!
