Well what happened was is that I ran out of photo paper and could not print my day 4 photos on day 4 so I had to wait until day 5 to print everything and then I had to wait until late into the evening to print everything. That’s ok though because I still worked on my December Daily album. I was busy adding things like a wonderful calendar that I was able to download from a Stitch in Time, if you haven’t checked out Marie Lottermoser then I highly suggested you do, her stuff is amazing and so inspiring. Then of course my absolute favorite is Wilna Furstenberg and she has this great intention page that you can download from her shop that I decided that I just had to have and had to incorporate into my album somehow.
After I did all my downloading and printing I got to work on my album and I used the screen print that came with the main kit as well as the paint and I added stars to the inside cover of my album. After that dried I inked the intention page with some faded jeans distress ink on the side and used scor tape to stick it to the inside of my album. I used scor tape because I wanted to make sure that the page was secure. I was very happy with the way this turned out but I will say that those stars took me a while.
I also put my Cricut to work this weekend and I made some word art and some tabs. I love the tabs that Ali has been using in her album but instead of using the Avery tabs like she does I just figured that I would make my own with the Cricut. Just a side note the Cricut Explore does take the American Crafts slick writers which is what I used to create the word art. The calendar on the right side is what I downloaded from a Stich in Time.
By the time I figured all this out I managed to get some photo paper in the pouring rain I might add so that I could get to work on day 4 and 5 in the album. Again I am making sure that I stick with the story and I only tell one story per day which is making it really easy for me to keep up with the project.
Here is my process video for days 4 & 5. How are you doing with your December Daily?
