December Daily Day One

december daily 2015I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am that December is here. I say it every year but December truly is my favorite time of the year. I love looking back and reflecting on the year and preparing for the new year. I love the Holidays and all the happiness that comes with them. I love my December Daily project that I have been doing for the past 3 years now. This will be my 4th year creating a December Daily album and this is the first year that Ali Edwards offered a class, which I must say I really enjoyed and I am still working my way through.

I did order the Ali Edwards main kit for December Daily and Ashley G’s mini kit from Ali Edwards site. I am not going to lie, the only reason why I wanted Ashley G’s mini kit was because it came with paint but after I received the kit I was pleasantly surprissed and ended up using a decent amount of the kit to create my foundation pages. Let me add that my foundation pages were feverishly put together on Sunday, November 29th (can we say oh my). In past years I have worked on my foundation pages all month long but I have been so busy this year with school, i.e. work that it just never worked out for me.

I did put everything that I am going to use in my December Daily album together and I want to really try incorporate things that I love doing in this album this year. I love stitching, mixed media and I pulled out my embossing folders that are Christmas orientated to put in my kit. I also pulled out some fabric or fabric trim I am not sure what it is called that I have had for years that I would like to incorporate into my album somehow.

Any who enough rambling from me. I made a short video sharing with you my foundation pages along with the documentation of my first day all complete! I am sticking with the theme of one story per day this year and I am not going to try to document multiple stories. That is one of my biggest take away’s from Ali’s class this year.
