Easy 3×3 Photo Prints

I have been looking for an easy way for me to create 3×3 size photo prints. I have not managed to find anything so I created my own template! 3×3 photos seem to be used quite a bit for sketches. I have also used 3×3 photos for mini albums. I recently created a mini album for grandparents day for the wonderful grandparents that my children have. I forgot to take pictures of my mini albums but here are the instructions on how to create one.

Supplies needed for mini album:

  • Chipboard
  • Cardstock
  • Decorative Cardstock
  • 3×3 photos
  • Journaling Pens
  • Embellishments
  • crop a dile or hole puncher
  • binder ring

I cut the chipboard into 5.5 pieces. I needed two of them one for the back and one for the front. I cut ten pieces of cardstock to be 4×4. On four of the pieces of cardstock I adhered my 3×3 pictures with double-sided tape. The other four pieces of cardstock I journaled things that the children said about their grandparents. Such as what is your favorite thing to do with Papa (that’s what they call their grandfather). I put decorative cardstock on top of the chipboard with double-sided tape ( I love my ATG gun ). I then put all the pieces together the first page was a picture page and the next page was a journal page and I continued with that pattern until all the pages were together. Next I used my crop a dile to punch a hole at the top corner area of my mini album and placed all the pages on a binder ring.

Voila a mini album is created!

Below you can click on the links and download either template for 3×3 photo printing. I created two templates, one has the ability to place one 3×3 photo onto a regular sized 4×6 photo print. The other template has the ability to place two 3×3 photos on a regular 4×6 photo print. I use the single template as this way I am sure that my entire photo will be printed. When printing photos you always end up missing just a tad bit of your photo when you print it. You can still use the template but you will always have just a little bit missing.  If you would like the templates in a different format please Email me!

Hi Beth! Thanks for sharing your templates. I agree, 3×3 prints are really great for scrapbooking—just big enough to see some detail yet allow you to use several on one page. And great for minis!

I am glad that you ladies like my template. I have recently used both of these templates I prefer to use the single one but I figured I would post them both and you could use whichever one you want!
