First Shoes Layout

With my new teaching job its a wonder that I managed to find some time to scrap this week but I really had the itch to get some crafty time in the other day. I finished up my One Little Word prompt and created this adorable layout of the baby when we got him his first pair of shoes. I had some Close To My Heart paper that I have been hoarding because it is now retired. I absolutely love the wood grain look and this particular paper pack had come with a pretty teal cardstock which I thought was perfect for a little boy.

I planned my layout out in Design Space and you can grab the layout here. I planned it in Design Space because I knew that I wanted to make the title with my Cricut but then I saw the adorable baby shoes with the First Years cartridge and I thought they were perfect so I added them to my layout!

This is what the layout looks like in Design Space I know it doesn’t look like much but once the layout is created with paper it is whole other story. The blue boxes are just place holders and were never cut out but I needed them their so I could figure out how big I could go with my title. My photos were 3.5×4.5 and that is the sizes of the boxes so if you choose to use them as mats for your photos you will know what size you need them to be.

Here is my layout, photos and paper really do make everything look better! I don’t put a lot of embellishments on my boy layouts so this is what I came up with of course you could always add more to it.

Look how cute those little shoes are and of course I made them white because the shoes we bought him are white. Now don’t forget their own two days left to grab the Year Noted paper kit for only $5. You can grab the kit in my shop by clicking HERE.
