Gift Idea For Adult Children Using Your Travelers Notebook

Hi Everyone!  Daisie here with a new travelers notebook project.  I am working in a standard size mixed media insert from the shop.  These are by far my favorite notebooks.  The paper is wonderful and can really stand up to anything.  I feel that in the long run it will hold up to the test of time.

This new project is something that I will be working on for some time.  I am creating a notebook for each of my children.  Each spread will be of them at a certain age.  I am then going to include journaling or advice that I want to pass to my kids for when they have kids.

Today I have my first installment.  I chose to start with my son, who is my oldest child.  I chose picture of him when he was 10 days old.  It was a great picture to represent the newborn phase.  I had a special boy themed travelers notebook kit made by Khristina at The Secret Not Secret Kit Club to make the process easier.

From there I just started layering.  It’s so fun to play with older pictures of my kids!  It brings me back to the days of diapers and exhaustion.

When I was happy with the layers I added the beginning of my journaling.  I have a feeling there will be a lot of advice I want to share! I used a bag so that I can add more cards as I need to.

I am super happy with the way this turned out!  I love the idea of passing this along to my kids.  They are also excited about it!

I made a process video for this as well so go check it out!  Leave a comment if you have any great advice to pass along for the care of newborns.  I’m always looking for more wisdom to pass along!

Thanks for visiting!  See you again soon!
