I am a YouTube junkie! There I said it, I watch YouTube at night before I fall asleep and sometimes after a really hard day at work I will watch a quick video before I cook dinner for the kids. I definitely have some favorite YouTube channels out there and one of them is Missy Whidden. I watch all of her videos lately and I just love how she incorporates mixed media and cut files into her layouts.
I was searching in Cricut Design Space the other night (I have the subscription and I get exclusive access to cut files), I just figured I would share how awesome that feature is real quick. Any who I have access to tons of files and I came across some really gorgeous heart cut files and I thought that they would be perfect to create layouts just like Missy’s.
I cut my hearts out, I have a few others that I plan on using and I picked one for these photos that we took of the babies a few days before Valentine’s Day. It’s not often that these two are matching, but the story behind the photos is that it took us at least 15 shots to get a photo where they were both looking at the camera. I did a process video for you of this layout and I have to say that this layout is going to be one of my favorites. I love how the heart turned out, backed by all the pretty paper.
Would you be willing to take the time to back a cut file with pretty paper? Let us know in the comments.
