It’s Over…..

So I managed to make it through the 4th of July and the day after LOL. Whew, it sure was a busy day yesterday. When you have little monsters and big monsters you pretty much have to get on out there and do family fun activities on the holidays. I love every minute of it but I was definitely not one of the mommy’s that got to catch up on scrapbooking yesterday. I did manage to get some great pictures to celebrate the 4th but I haven’t had the chance to edit them and throw them in a page just yet! I am definitely hoping to get to that sometime in the near future. I felt so bad for my little monster this morning considering that she went to bed late and that she had to get up early to go to camp 🙁 She was so tired and out of sorts this morning. Next year I will definitely be taking the day after the 4th off.

On the other hand I have been working on my son’s trip to Puerto Rico. I haven’t quite managed to find the time to have him sit with me to get all the journaling done yet but I will definitely be strapping him down next to me sometime in the very near future!

Puerto Rico trip: Dominick and Grandpa 2012

This is going to be the first page in the album that I am making for my son and his Grandpa. I think this was the perfect for age for Grandpa to take Dominick on this trip. Dominick is at the age where he can truly appreciate the time that he got to spend not only in Puerto Rico but with his Grandpa as well! I will definitely be posting more pages as I progress with creating this wonderful scrapbook for my son and his Grandpa.

This page was made with Storybook Creator from Creative Memories and I am flip-flopping between the Traveler digital kit and the What A View digital kit. The digital pages and embellishments that come with these kits are perfect for my son’s trip 🙂 I posted pictures of these two kits in my previous post about choices (feel free to check out my previous post and tell me which digital kit you like more).

What a seriously cool idea! Our oldest just got married and while grandbabies are a little way off I love the idea of taking them on individual vacations! The book will be a wonderful addition to what I’m sure is an amazing childhood memory.

Thank you! I definitely believe that this trip will be one of those trips that stick out as a wonderful time in his childhood. My son truly had a blast and is still talking about all the things that he saw in Puerto Rico 🙂
