March Art Journal

March is here I can hardly believe it. My march started off with a bang! We all went to Disney and had a blast! The first thing I did when I got back was create my art journal for the month of March because I had tons to document.

I am still enjoying these monthly art journals done scrapbooking style that I have been putting together and I think that this is something that I am going to be doing for the rest of the year.

This year Easter is at the end of the month and I love all the pastel colors that can be used during spring so this month that is what I focused on and I put my Cricut to good use!

I cut a bunch of egg shapes out and I cut out a shamrock as well for St. Pattys Day. I adhered all my eggs and shamrock to this beautifully cross paper from Faithfully Yours as well as my fence border that I made with the Creative Memories border punch. I used my cricut to cut out my month and year and added some stickles to the month and the year because I felt that I just needed some sparkle 🙂

This was a really simple art journal that I created and I love the way it turned out.

Are you working on an art journal this year?

No… I don’t do an art journal… but I color when I feel like it my my medieval and near easter coloring books. I do keep a journal, for writing anything and everything I desire. I notice I’ll keep a type of art journal when I travel abroad. I love all those odd to me candy and sugar wrappers, and other fun miscellanea that pops out at me in foreign lands.

That art journal when traveling sounds like a great idea Beth. I use these to document are daily lives I like being able to go back and see what we did.

After doing my page with all shamrocks and an Irish looking theme, I found out Easter was at the end of the month! I should look ahead on the calendar! 🙂 Love your pages! Your egg shapes for journaling are perfect!
