OOMPA LOOMPA Scrapbooking

I just love the words OOMPA LOOMPA they sound so cute don’t they? I have been diligently working on my babies first year album and I was going through the stack of photos that I have printed and came across 3 photos that were all basically a month apart. This meant that these photos captured him at 4 months, 5 months and 6 months and they were all very different photos so I thought they would be perfect for documenting him at these stages.

I had a heck of a time putting this layout together and an ever harder time recording the process video for this layout. Lets just say that my iPhone didn’t want to cooperate so some of the process video was filmed on my iPhone and some of it was filmed on my honeys LG phone which has a wider lens apparently and then I had to put all these videos together. The main reason why I wanted to share the process video with you though is because my layout changed twice before I settled on the way that it finally turned out. I have almost used all the Georgie paper from Close To My Heart paper pack, which means I better grab some more!

I started with a mixed media idea that went horribly wrong, to a washi tape idea that was cute but was not right to a tag idea that I just love! I think it’s important to document the nicknames that we giver our kids and to tell the story behind their nicknames. Obviously now that the baby is two I do not call him my little OOMPA LOOMPA anymore but when he was this chunky little cutie I sure did and this is something that I want to remember.

Check out the process video here and be sure to subscribe to my channel, lately my videos make it to my YouTube channel before they make it to the blog!
