Sometimes it’s not Perfect

I will admit that I love bible journaling, but I am still learning so much about paint and techniques. I watched Rebekah Jones video the other day, and I was like I can do that but I want to use different shades of blue as blue is my favorite color. I was pleasantly surprised after I put the first color as I thought it was stunning and I was even happier as I went on with my other two colors.

A problem occurred when I thought I could stamp using black ink on a dark blue paint. Lets just say that it didn’t come out the way that I had hoped. I went with it though and I added a tiny bit of journaling with my favorite white pen and called it a day. Here’s the thing, I am OK with my art not being perfect, I know that I am still learning and I know that God doesn’t care if I am perfect. What I do know is that I spent more time in HIS word and that is the whole point of bible journaling for me.

Bible journaling is a time for me to have some peace in my life and some time with the LORD so when a page is not perfect or it doesn’t turn out the way that I wanted it to, I am OK with that because I spent time in HIS word. Here is the process video sharing how I created the layout.

I will say that if I could do it over that I would have reversed the colors of paint or stamped with my white pigment ink so that you could see what I have created. Otherwise I am completely happy with my page and the time that I spent meditating on HIS word.
