Sunday Funday

I just finished creating another layout that was inspired by Wilna Furstenberg and her class over at Big Picture Classes called Just Add Color. I never thought to use a brayer before to paint with as I have only used my brayer for my gelli plate. I have to admit that I absolutely loved painting with my brayer and it was so cool to see it go on and how you could see the different layers shine through. This is a technique that I will be doing more often.

I printed some very recent photos because I wanted to document how I have been taking the two little ones out to play in the kiddie pool on Sunday mornings lately and how it has become somewhat of our Sunday morning routine. My honey has been working on Sunday’s so I have been taking them out to play so that the baby would take a nice long nap and then I could get some scrappy time in!

I actually created the majority of this layout during nap time after one of my Sunday Funday moments with the kids and I figured it was the best time to document it. I created a process video so that you could see how cool painting with a brayer is.

Thank you Lisa, I bet once you give it a try you will love it! It is really cool how the paint goes on with a brayer and the look is so different. A good brayer is key though I had to upgrade mine.
