The Baby is Three

I saw this awesome sketch over on the Freckled Fawn’s Instagram account and as soon as I saw it I knew it was perfect for the Ali Edwards kit. I also knew that it perfect for adding in the amazing cork stars from the SpiegelMom Scraps shop and of course the amazing sequins really helped this layout shine.

I think I am going to create two more layouts based on my other babies and what they are like at their current ages with the numbers kit as I haven’t done layouts like that in a while. For this layout of the baby I did more of what he is like and what he is playing with right now at the age of three. It truly is so hard for me to believe that he is three already.

I used paper’s from my January kit, I don’t have very many left, and I broke out my gelatos which I haven’t used in forever. I absolutely love using my gelatos and I haven’t used them in forever on a layout. They really added a nice punch of color and some shine because these particular gelatos that I used have some shimmer to them!

I did not prep my paper at all and literally just used my finger to smudge the gelato around on my paper with a damp finger, I used a baby wipe to dampen my finger so that the gelato would smudge easier. I created a process video so that you can see how it all came together. Do you have a favorite mixed media product that you don’t use often enough?

    Hello Beth

Thank you for this lovely post and video. I enjoy scrapbooking because there is no order to it. You can do your pages as plain or as decorated as you like. It’s about your preference. You can have many different themed albums or just one album with many themes jumbled in it. In my albums there are many plain block pages among other lumpy bumpy or snazzy pages depending on the theme of the photos. It doesn’t matter how you do it.

Best of luck to you and your family
