There’s a Mob Boss

Well as you all know by now I love sketches. Sketches for cards and sketches for layouts make me happy. The other day we were playing with the baby and of course I had him hanging around naked because who doesn’t love a naked baby? My honey made the statement that he looked like an Overweight Mob Boss so of course we had to take photos of him and I had to scrap them immediately.

I have some paper left over from my Skylark Workshop on the Go Kit and thought that this would work out perfectly. My only problem was that I was not sure of how I wanted the layout to look so off to my Pinterest board I went. I love Pinterest and this is where I save all the fun creative stuff that I am going to do.

Here is the sketch that I choose to use for my Mob Boss layout. You can find all the sketches that I like by following my Pinterest board here.

scrapbook layout. Make one or two of those 3x3 photos a journaling block.

Here is what my layout looked like after using the sketch. It’s not exactly the same but that is the point of the sketch. The goal is to create something that makes you happy. The little tab on the right hand side I made with my Cricut and the Art Philoshopy cartridge that is exclusive to Close To My Heart. Let me tell you this cartridge has so many shapes on it that I don’t even know what to do with myself. I am having a ton of fun creating with this cartridge.

That little circle at the top was my favorite element that I created for this layout. I took a scrap piece of paper and distressed it with Close To My Heart Lagoon Ink. I used the distressing sponge that Close To My Heart offers and let me tell you this sponge is awesome! Next I used one of my inkadinkado stamps that came with the stamping kit and stamped around the edge of my circle. I took that same stamp and stamped along the border of my layout to create some cohesiveness. Here is a close up of my circle.

Other then the stamp that I used and my title all the other elements on this layout came from the Skylark Workshop to Go. You get a ton of product in these kits, I have already created a two page spread with this kit and this layout. I still have plenty of product left to create more. For the price of these kits you get a ton of product. To order one of these great kits click here. To see the other layout that I made with this kit click here.

Have you ever taken a photo and just felt the need to scrap it right away?
